Christmas Break

Well, it has been a few days since our last post!  This has been a busy semester, but we are blessed to have this opportunity to study at Covenant, which is providing us with knowledge and skills to be effective leaders of our TIMO team. Rebe and I were at the PCA’s global missions conference last month in Chattanooga and met several people who are interested in joining our team.  Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to recruit the remaining members of our team and raise financial support for our return to Africa in 2011.

Camden, Myla & Keely have been keeping busy as well.  Rebe and I have been homeschooling Camden (1st grade) and, so far, science is his favorite subject.  He also just finished his first season of soccer, enjoys reading mysteries, and recently lost his two front teeth (although he doesn’t necessarily want those for Christmas).  Myla (3) has become involved in the St. Louis art scene.  She has been recognized by one local art society (ours) for her magic marker series on Princesses.  She is also part of a ballet company that meets once a week at a local preschool.  And Keely (1) is the clown of the family, making everyone laugh and still supporting local businesses during the tough economic times through her diaper, wipe and cream habit.

On Saturday, December 11th, I will be traveling to Uganda and Tanzania for 10 days.  During that time I hope to meet with a Ugandan couple who is considering joining our team.  Also, John Shane and I will be in Tanzania trying to finalize our team location.  Please pray for traveling mercies for our family during this time as Rebe and the kids will be going to her parent’s house in Tennessee as well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
